Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ZIBBYAI, INC. (“Zibby,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
A. Information you provide
Account information (such as email address and profile details you choose to provide)
User Content (such as memories, text, photos, audio recordings, and related metadata)
Communications (support requests, feedback)
B. Information collected automatically
Device and app information (device type, OS version, app version, identifiers used for authentication and security)
Usage data (feature interactions, in-app events, and basic engagement signals)
Diagnostic and crash data (logs and performance data for stability and debugging)
C. Analytics and measurement partners
We may use third-party analytics and measurement tools, such as Firebase Analytics, to help understand usage and improve the Service. Where the Service provides an in-app choice to disable non-essential analytics, you can opt out using that setting. Disabling non-essential analytics does not prevent collection of data necessary to operate, secure, or debug the Service.
We may also use Apple-provided measurement tools available through Apple developer services (for example, App Store Connect analytics and related reporting).
D. TestFlight and beta testing data
If you participate via TestFlight, Apple automatically collects and shares crash logs and usage information with the app provider, and you cannot opt out of this collection. If you submit feedback through TestFlight, Apple shares it with us and it may be associated with your name and email.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
Process User Content to produce outputs you request (for example transcription, summaries, generation, or rendering)
Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and protect users
Debug, monitor performance, and improve reliability
Improve and develop features (preferably using de-identified, scrubbed, and as-ephemeral-as-possible processing where feasible)
Provide customer support and communicate with you
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
Model training limitation:
We do not use your personal information or User Content to train models.
Permission-forward use:
If we intend to use User Content that contains personal information for purposes beyond providing, securing, and improving the Service in the ordinary course, we will seek your permission when appropriate or required by law. Exceptions may apply for legal obligations or critical technical or security reasons.
Notice:
We may provide notice of material changes in our data use practices, but we are not obligated to do so except where required by law. Where notice is appropriate or required, we generally aim to provide it within 180 days or sooner if jurisdiction mandates (unless notice is prohibited or would undermine security).
3. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
A. Service providers (subprocessors)
We use subprocessors to operate the Service, including:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for hosting and infrastructure
Firebase (Google) for analytics (where enabled)
Microsoft Azure for certain infrastructure and services
Cloudflare for security and content delivery
These providers process information on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
B. Legal, safety, and security
We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, and enforce our terms.
C. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense.
4. Tracking and Advertising
We do not share your information with data brokers or advertising networks for cross-app targeted advertising. If we ever engage in “tracking” as defined by Apple, we will provide required disclosures and obtain any required permissions when applicable.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Retention can vary based on the type of data, legal obligations, security needs, dispute resolution, and operational requirements.
Because this is an alpha/beta service, retention practices may evolve. We may delete accounts or User Content as part of service changes, capacity management, or program shutdown, subject to legal and operational requirements.
6. Your Choices and Rights
A. Analytics opt-out
Where the Service provides an in-app setting to disable non-essential analytics, you can opt out using that setting. Disabling non-essential analytics does not affect TestFlight data collection.
B. Access, deletion, and other requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or to object to certain processing. You can submit requests by contacting us at support@zibby.ai. We may need to verify your identity and may deny requests as permitted by law.
If the Service offers in-app controls for deletion or export, those controls will govern when available. Otherwise, requests may be handled manually.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us at support@zibby.ai.
9. International Transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
