Messaging Opt-In Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Zibby is a voice-first memory and storytelling app. Our messaging program lets you capture memories the same way you'd text a friend — send a photo, a voice note, or a few sentences, and it lands in your Zibby timeline. We'll also send you the occasional prompt to help you get a story down before it fades.

This page explains exactly what we send, how you agree to receive it, and how to stop at any time. It applies to all SMS and MMS messages sent by ZibbyAI, Inc. ("Zibby," "we," "us") from our toll-free number [[TOLL-FREE NUMBER]].

1. What the Zibby messaging program is

The Zibby messaging program is a two-way conversational service. You text with Zibby; Zibby texts back. There is no separate bot to install and nothing to sign up for beyond your Zibby account.

You will only ever receive messages from us if you have given express written consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP.

2. What messages you'll receive

We send three kinds of messages, and only these three:

Memory prompts and nudges. Occasional questions designed to help you capture a story — "What did your kitchen smell like growing up?" — plus gentle reminders when you've told us you want to build a habit. You reply however you like: text, voice note, or photo.

Media capture (MMS). When you text a photo, video, or audio recording to Zibby, we receive it and attach it to your memory timeline. We may reply to confirm receipt or ask a follow-up question about what you sent.

Account and transactional notices. Verification codes, beta and TestFlight invitations, family invite links, and notices about your account or the service.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy.

3. How you opt in

We collect consent in two places. In both, the consent language is shown to you at the moment you provide your phone number, and the consent checkbox is never pre-checked.

In the Zibby iOS app, during onboarding or in Settings.

  1. You open Zibby and reach the messaging step during onboarding, or navigate to Settings → Messaging.

  1. You enter your mobile phone number.

  1. Below the phone number field, you check an unchecked box next to this disclosure:

By checking this box, I agree to receive text messages from Zibby at the number provided, including memory prompts, media confirmations, and account notices sent using an automated system. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency is up to 4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. See our Messaging Opt-In Policy and Privacy Policy.

  1. You tap Continue. We send a one-time confirmation message to that number.

  1. You are subscribed once you receive that confirmation.

On a web form at zibby.ai.

  1. You reach a Zibby form that includes a mobile phone number field.

  2. You enter your mobile phone number.

  3. You check an unchecked box next to the same disclosure shown above.

  4. You submit the form. We send a one-time confirmation message to that number.

  5. You are subscribed once you receive that confirmation.

Your consent is recorded with a timestamp, the exact language displayed, and the source of the opt-in. We retain that record for as long as you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use Zibby fully without ever giving us your phone number.

4. Message frequency

Up to 4 messages per month, excluding messages you initiate. Because the program is conversational, replies to messages you send us are not counted against that number.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Zibby does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may — check your plan. MMS messages containing photos, video, or audio may count against your data allowance.

6. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from [[TOLL-FREE NUMBER]].

We also honor plain-language opt-outs — END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, "please stop texting me," and similar requests. You'll receive one final confirmation message, and then we will stop.

Opting out of one type of Zibby message opts you out of all of them. If you change your mind, reply START to resubscribe, or turn messaging back on in Settings → Messaging in the app.

You may also opt out by emailing [[SUPPORT EMAIL]] or by writing to us at the address below. Removing your number takes effect promptly; you may receive a message that was already queued.

7. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message from [[TOLL-FREE NUMBER]] for support contact information.

You can also reach us at [[SUPPORT EMAIL]] or through our Contact page.

8. Carriers and delivery

Zibby's messaging program is supported by major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and others.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless provider and is outside our control.

9. Privacy

Your phone number, the content of your messages, and any media you send are handled under our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your phone number. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share it only with the messaging service providers who deliver messages on our behalf, under contract and only for that purpose.

10. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide to opt in. Zibby's messaging program is available to U.S. mobile numbers only.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date, and where required, we will notify you and obtain fresh consent. support@zibby.ai
